Amherst is the largest suburb of Buffalo, NY and is the perfect symmetry between residential and commercial and old vs new architecture. It’s known for its beautiful neighborhoods, excellent schools, and convenient location.

Homes in Amherst are diverse, with a range of options to suit different lifestyles and budgets. There are many beautiful single-family homes, ranging from small starter homes to large, luxurious estates. The town also features a variety of apartments, townhouses, and condos for those who prefer a more low-maintenance living situation. Prices vary depending on location, size, and amenities, but overall, Amherst is considered a relatively affordable place to live.

One of the most attractive aspects of Amherst is its location. Situated just outside of Buffalo, the town offers easy access to all of the amenities of the city, including shopping, dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions. However, Amherst also boasts its own unique offerings, such as the beautiful Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village, a living history museum that showcases the region’s rich heritage.

Williamsville is a village within Amherst that shares its own uniqueness with its quaint main street vibe filled with restaurants, shops and tons to do. See what fun things there are to do in Williamsville here!

Williamsville, along with Snyder and Eggertsville, has maintained it’s original culture and character while areas in northern Amherst have been healthily developed over recent years. One of the more affluent areas in Amherst is East Amherst where you will find many of the larger, more exquisite homes in the area.

In terms of quality of life, Amherst is highly regarded. The town has a low crime rate, excellent schools, and a strong sense of community. There are many parks and recreational facilities, including the Amherst State Park, which features hiking trails, fishing spots, and picnic areas. The town is also home to the University at Buffalo, one of the largest universities in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, which adds to the town’s vibrancy and diversity.
